Kaisen Don Marina Blvd - San Leandro

We have been visiting regularly in the past 2 months, especially happy hour. I hate to post a spot I want for myself, but they have been really great. Tempura roll, oysters and lion king roll are a winning combo…Food: 4/5

The food was not bad. We just had high expectations. We had Omakase sushi, special sashimi, skewers. This is a good neighborhood restaurant but not a destination restaurant.We traveled almost an hour to get to this place.

I really enjoyed the jazz music as I walked in, along with the beautiful Japanese decor. The sushi was excellent, both in taste and presentation. I particularly loved the lobster roll, and the avocado was incredibly creamy. I would definitely eat there again. Food: 5/5

It was our first time here and we will definitely come back again.Seems that they specialize in Japanese aged fish 熟成, highly recommend if you are not a big fan of completely raw fish ? I also like their interior and it is more spacious as compared a few other Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in Fremont, and it is a very unique find in San Leandro.We came before 5:30pm. We didn’t have a reservation and were seated immediately. When we left there was a line. ? we came with our child and notice a lot of families too.
