Bidrage med feedbackI believe Budda Bowl is the only restaurant in the two cities that offers vegan and vegetarian options.
We look forward to this place because it was closed all weekend. would be preface by saying we love support vegan places, it is very important for us. only 6 menu points were vegan when we were there, that is not much. the Dal rice dish was very good. buddha bowl (after removing honey) is perfect. müllrolle were meh, pommes were ok. sushi and dumplings were questionable. the dumplings were filled with brains, I feel like I'm eating noodles made by someone who may not understand what a noodle is? it felt so bizarre that it was filled with brain. the sushi came with brown rice, which did not spice with sushi rice, and the wasabi was rolled into sushi. again it was quite bizarre. did they not want to know what sushi was? Eat took an hour to get out, we sat outside, the cannons didn't block us completely from the sun, it was a 37C day. we ordered almost every vegan item they had on the menu because they were thrilled and wanted to support the vegan place in san ignacio, but it was not a good experience. they also do not take the visagists, but they can pay with paypal.
We were eager to visit this restaurant as it had been closed all weekend. We enjoy supporting vegan establishments, so we were excited to try it out. However, we were disappointed to find that only six menu items were vegan during our visit, which was a bit limited. The dal rice bowl was tasty, but the Buddha bowl was just okay after we asked for the honey to be removed. The cabbage rolls were unimpressive, and the fries were decent. The sushi and dumplings were questionable. The dumplings were filled with millet, which seemed odd and not traditional. The sushi had brown rice that was not seasoned properly, and the wasabi was rolled into the sushi, which was strange. It felt like the chefs may not have a good understanding of these dishes. The food took an hour to arrive, and we were seated outside without adequate shade on a very hot day. We ordered several vegan items in support of the restaurant, but unfortunately, it was not a great experience. They do not accept VISA, but do take PayPal as payment.
Laney, the owner, is incredibly friendly and easy to chat with. I highly suggest visiting just to meet her. The food is fantastic, with a wide variety of kombucha options and delicious vegan baked goods (the chocolate muffin is especially tasty). All of the ingredients are top-notch quality, including locally sourced vegan white chocolate. Don't miss out on trying the homemade coconut yogurt. Overall, a great dining experience!
I believe Budda Bowl is the only vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the area that covers two towns.
