Bidrage med feedbackThe beef skewers had weird taste, the black sesame dumplings soup base was sour, overall low quality and low value. I wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t come back again.
I was waiting for a shot at Walgreens and decided to have lunch here on a whim great decision on my part because I had the most amazing baked pork chop with black pepper sauce on rice. I love Hong Kong style food and this one hit the spot! It's worth stopping by.
Good fast eats. Popcorn chicken is great and so are the noodles. I also like the baked dishes. I love these old school Hong Kong style cafes.
I had seen Sugar Water Cafe on multiple occasions when I was in the area, but I finally had the chance to try them. Parking is street parking. We were the only group here, but the food took awhile to make. They had Cantonese shows on as well, so my friends and I enjoyed that as we were waiting for the food, as we were eating, and in between conversations. My friends and I all ordered the Mixian Noodles/Create Your Own Noodles. For about $11, it is decent, but if you want other add-ons then it will be an extra $2+ depending what you want. I thought the noodles/toppings were decent, but the broth was way too salty.
Quiet during lunch time on a rainy Sunday we loved pretty much everything we tried here and will definitely come back soon. Braised pork belly Mixian, Pork chop Mixian, rice roll with sauce (kiddo loves), popcorn chicken, all very good. Can't wait to try more items on the menu next time! Service was good and the place was organized and clean.
