Il Pollaio - San Francisc

In the hey day of Il Pollaio in North Beach I would stand in line waiting for my box of chicken to take across the street to eat in the park. It was always worth the wait. I was skeptical that the food at this new location would be as memorable, but was pleasantly surprised to find everything as insanely delicious as I remember. This is not fancy new American, this is not precious small plates, this is fresh delicious food to be shared with your family while laughing and smiling and chatting with the amazingly friendly staff. Don't forget the hot sauce and the lemons ; I will be back. And you should all go too.

Incredible service and delicious food, I look forward to coming here again with my family. well they did not have any pasta dishes they had lots of delicious chicken and beef entrées to choose from.

We were greeted by Alex, the owner and chef of the restaurant. We had drinks and then ordered. I had pork chops. My wife and our in laws had the chicken. All of food was cooked perfectly. The service was was excellent. This is a place definitely worth a try.

This place is awesome! The food is so good and Alex is the best at grilling the chicken perfectly! Our go-to always.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is kid friendly and the menu is something everyone loves. We also get food to go if we’re in a hurry. Either way is great.

Best chicken in the Mission, and very affordable price in comparison to other artisanal-grilled chicken places in the neighborhood. The owner and staff are very friendly. I recommend having their chicken with the home-made salsa. Another plus is that they have beer on-tap!
