Peet's Coffee - San Anselmo

The staff is friendly, and the coffee is excellent. There's ample space for small groups to come in and get some work done.

The first thing I noticed was that the cashier didn’t make any eye contact and wasn’t very communicative. There was a small line, which a few more staff members could have easily managed. I counted six employees, yet service was incredibly slow, and the pick-up counter was unclean. During our wait for two drinks, a customer brought an empty milk carafe to the drink counter, and it just sat there the whole time. I was uncomfortable seeing the staff prepare drinks with pre-made milk just sitting out. With so many employees on shift, the place felt quite dirty. Additionally, I’ve never seen two people working on a single drink before. I think I’ll be heading back to Starbucks next time.

Steer clear if possible. Most of the time, there are only five employees on staff, but you'll still find a line out the door with just one person managing the counter. When that’s not the situation, you might place your coffee order, pay, and then find out they need to brew a fresh pot. It's infuriating. Your best bet is to head over to the Starbucks at Safeway instead.

The Bonbom is a delightful treat! It’s a super sweet mix of condensed milk and a double shot of espresso. It gave me enough energy to clean an entire apartment complex!

There’s often a bit of a wait, and sometimes it’s crowded with people using the Wi-Fi. However, the staff are excellent and the service is quick, which is consistent for a Peet’s. The cafe has a nice outdoor seating area, which is a plus. Located in the Redhill shopping strip, parking can be a bit tight, but there are usually spots available if you don’t mind walking a few hundred feet before your espresso. While there are local shops with a better ambiance, their parking situation isn’t great. This place is a win for parking, with no meters to worry about. The coffee, by the way, is excellent.
