Comforts - San Anselmo

Great place for breakfasts, Comforts has a wide collection of food, like it a lot!

Some of their fare is still good, but the other morning I had a breakfast sandwich and coffee with a friend, and it was particularly bad.Scrambled eggs, cheese, and ham on a croissant. Looked good, but they just warmed it over as it had been sitting in the display already cooked much earlier.So what you get is a lukewarm bready croissant with cold eggs, and dry unmelted cheese with ham. The cheese and ham were of good quality, but it was all bleah with no flavor or good texture.The croissant was mushy, and not a real croissant. The type you might find in Safeway or Costco.It was large, but not tasty.pp

Vegetarian options: Great vegitarian option for the Chinese Chicken salad is, the Tofu version. Also delicious!

Everything was perfect, but I felt completely embarrassed by the hostess who treated us with indifference. Rubbish service!

A “go to” for great sandwiches, their signature Chinese Chicken Salad, prepared salads, soups, entrees and did I mention the “to die for” cakes and cookies and sweet confectionery case? Grab a latte and sit outside or dine in their newly renovated space. Always can find a food comfort at Comforts!
