Bidrage med feedbackWe were not happy to have climbed all the way up to the museum & cafe , expecting to have lunch only to find that it was closed. Not impressed with the web site not being up to date with this information
Took a coffee after visiting the museum. Tarte aux fraises was very good, so was the cafe creme. The came out of a bag. 5 Eur for the coffee is almost robbery, the other items also very expensive. The surrounding is nice, but you cannot sit outside which is a shame. If you have time, take a stroll down to the village, St Paul de Vences (if you go there by bus 400 from Nice, only 1.50 Eur, you will go there anyway) where you will find equally good cafes, sit outside and pay less.
For what it is I think the prices should be lowerHowever, nice cakes, good coffee and friendly staff make it worth a visitIt gathers crowds of walkers as this is a popular walking area of FranceWould recommend but don't expect it to be cheap
It is really lovely located with a view over the garden with sculptures of Fondation Maeght. The menu covers some rather pricy snacks/salads but anyway, it is your only chance to get even a coffee before going back to St. Paul.
After spending a lovely afternoon at the Foundation Maeght, a dessert was in order to top off the day. An ice tea, a Coke, a strawberry and a peach tarte, left us in a wonderful mood, the short rest was what the doctor ordered to continue with our vacation in France. Beautiful setting with very good food.
