Dixie Lee Fried Chicken - Saint John

We, 2 couples travelling through NB, stopped at this Dixie Lee, a chain we were not familiar with. My lunch of fried shrimp and fries was ok, nothing remarkable but not bad, the 2 men's chicken was fine according to them but my friend's burger was so bad she couldn't think of a way to describe it other than to say she wondered when it had been part of someone's shoe leather! Since I don't eat meat burgers nor chicken I cannot comment but the burger must have truly been disgusting.

I eat here more often than I should, a couple of times a month. I love their fried chicken. Actually, I never get anything else, so this review may be of limited use to you. I have tried their pizza and it was fine, but they have to cook it when you order it so I'd recommend calling ahead for that.I've found the staff friendly and the restaurant is almost always clean, although you can't expect them to sweep the floor every 15 minutes and have every table cleaned off all the time on very busy days.Regarding the comments of the chicken tasting like manure/poop, I certainly have never found that to be the case during my years of eating here. I suspect the issue may be that Sussex is a dairy town and sometimes the air will have the smell of manure in it when the farmers fertilize their fields. They don't call Sussex "CowTown" for nothing!I also don't see how the value could be rated low. The prices are definitely reasonable. If you buy their "dinner" items, they have a reward system where you get your tenth (or was it eleventh?) dinner free.

We eat there periodically because love Dixie Lee but who ever owns this restaurant should evaluate the cooks. So disappointed each and every time. KAST Meal I had was a chicken burger, you would think it would be a huge piece of chicken topped with a nice tomatoe. Instead a piece of flat thin processed whatever .Seriously check in on your restarant , up the quality of your food...

My boyfriend and I went to dixie lee for his birthday last night, once you opened the box all you could smell was manuere, the chicken even tasted like you were eating manuere. I will never go there again.

We stopped at the Dixie Lee and had chicken today. It was by far the grossest meal I have EVER eaten! The fries were orange from dirty oil, and the chicken tasted like poop. Literally, tasted like someone had fried it in poop!
