The Village Buttery - Ruidoso

I placed a takeout order and was enjoying my lunch at work when I discovered a fly in my sandwich after I had eaten more than half of it. They did make me a replacement sandwich, but I felt that some additional compensation would have been appreciated. After almost consuming a fly, I wasn't really hungry anymore and didn't feel inclined to return to the restaurant. The only option they provided was another sandwich—no money back, no dessert, and no drink. Having worked in the food industry as a manager, I know that it’s common to offer a bit more to customers when mistakes happen. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case at this establishment. I recommend checking your sandwiches before digging in!

Delicious sandwiches and soups! This is one of our favorite places to eat.

This is a wonderful spot for lunch! My absolute favorite is their quiche, while the rest of our group enjoyed different sandwiches, all of which they praised. I also really enjoyed the tomato soup! As for parking, we had to leave our car across the street, about a block from the restaurant. There isn’t a crosswalk nearby, so we had to sprint across the busy road to queue up for our orders.

Through rain Shine, perfect lunch and dessert. Dessert was 1st!!

My husband and I went here for lunch today and the food was FANTASTIC. This is going to become a popular spot for us. I got the chicken salad sandwich and a tomato basil soup and he got the crab salad sandwich with a side of pasta salad. We also got a slice of buttermilk pie for dessert. YUM YUM YUM! Highly recommend this place!
