Bidrage med feedbackTypical Wetherspoons food. Acceptable but nothing special. Sticky table and menus. Staff behind bar were friendly. Didn’t appreciate having to walk through the cigarette smoke (smokers standing at the outer door) as we left.
I come here every week and actually feel awful writing this review as staff are lovely and it’s my local. But I am hoping the senior management will take some notice and I challenge them to come and use the toilets at the weekend, then report that they think this is acceptable. Don’t get me wrong the toilet have needed a refurb for years and years and there has always been an issue with water pressure, hardly any in toilet and get soaked if turn a tap on. There is usually only one or two loos in a fit state to use (for years) due to lack of ability to flush contents. But today all 5 toilets full of excrement, to the point I actually feel sick. Come on owners of this pub, sort out the plumbing, you are letting down the name of Wetherspoons, your customers and your staff. It’s not rocket science, it’s a basic in a good establishment
Well where do I start. If you order 10 chicken bites and chips I hope your not expecting 10 because you’ll be disappointed :D Then they tell you even though the “new” menu states 10 it’s 7 now because they’re bigger ‘apparently’. Now granted we didn’t have a ruler but after many years of eating there and visiting another the size isn’t any different. Also I mean when you try to rectify the problem if you want shouting and screaming at then this is the place to be… customer service is below a zero well done weatherspoons well done. If the drinks weren’t as cheap and you had this customer service the business wouldn’t exist that’s for sure. I mean come on who can get banned from weatherspoons clearly someone who can count to 10.
I was visiting the area with family and we were in Wath so decided to get something to eat. We did not have to wait too long for our food to be delivered however the wrong food was brought out for one of us. The team apologised and we did not have to wait too long for the right meal to be delivered. Staff were welcoming and friendly and it was easy to be socially distanced.
Sorry but spoons has gone south fast . Today was the final straw. Sat at a sticky table as always peeling back the menus . Opens the app and went to order to be told the app was down so ask about table service . Waited a while no one to ask so I trottered up to bar . Tried to order food and not surprising what I wanted was out of stock . The reason this made we walk away was this happens every time , to which if it was a one off I could forgive It . Added with sub par standards I observed people walking around with no masks on not just one but quite a few they all can’t be exempt . It’s clear that Wetherspoons are cutting hours so bad the staff suffer and then standards suffer . I don’t blame this experience in any staff but the company as the staff can only work so fast but are expected to do the impossible .
