Bidrage med feedbackWe booked the tea room for our daughter's 5th birthday party and overall it was a lovely experience! They children were greeted with lots of tea party food and juice in a teapot and china mugs. They then had time to play some traditional party games whilst bun and biscuit decorating was set up. The adults were able to catch up with a hot drink and the kids were able to feel like mini grown ups for a couple of hours. Everyone had a great time and many parents commented on the unusual party venue and spoke about how much their child enjoyed themselves. For us it was a welcome break from the normal play centre party. Rachel and her brother, Ash, were amazing and their set up and organisation was flawless. They really helped to make it a relaxing, stressfree party. I would thoroughly recommend!
This is a lovely surprise. A tearoom situated in a fairly modern shop building but when you enter you get the lovely feeling of it being a proper little tea room. You are greeted by a counter full of tempting cakes supported by a warm and cheery welcome from the owner who can't do enough to help. The front part is set out in the usual tea room fashion and the back room is set out in the feel of a wartime sitting room with ration books as a menu. Loads of memorabilia adds to the atmosphere. Plenty of tea in nice china and the afternoon tea itself is served on traditional stands. You get a choice of sandwich fillings and type of bread and then the scones are served with a choice of jam and proper clotted cream (essential for a genuine afternoon tea) followed by a cake of your choosing. And what a choice there is. All very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.
Took my mum and aunt who are both in their 80s for afternoon tea. We had choice of two sandwich fillings from a choice of 8. Then either fruit or plain scone followed by big wedge of cake. Again from a choice of several. All food is prepared to order and all home made. Owner very pleasant and service excellent. We sat in the back room which had lively background music which my family sung along too. It was quite full so made for a lively atmosphere. Our second visit and we will return
