Heartland Motor Inn - Rosetown

Under renovations, you can tell this place needed it badly. Was somewhat skeptical when I entered because there is a major reno going on. At 98 buck a night I think its one of the better deals to be had. It even came with a small continental breakfast! The room was really nice , everything is new. Absolutely no complaints here, would advise anyone to stay here.

Worn out, dirty and unkept. Entry way stinks, probably due to open doors to the lounge. Rooms smelt a lot better. Every area, hallways, bathrooms and rooms need attention.The continental breakfast is sparse, cereal, juice and toast, you have to leave the breakfast area to get coffee at the registration desk, breakfast room opens at 6 am and I was first there and they had only less than half loaf of multigrain bread and several loaves of white. This place requires serious attention, not worth the price.

This place has been there for 40 years and is in need of a complete remodel. the restaurant is under an endless change of management.

Smells of dead beetles, which over a week were to many to count..woke up with bites on my hands, arms, n legs. If you work nights the room does not get cleaned for a week unless you get up and out for an hour at 3:00pm. The breakfast was 2 month expired juice. And some open boxes of cereal . And it should be condemned or completely overhauled. But even better..fixed with a bulldozer.

I read the review for this hotel and was very worried. So when we got there we checked all the beds and all I found was a tear in the sheet so I asked if we could have a new one and they came up right away and changed the sheets and blankets. This hotel normally is full with work crews and we all know that they don't always take care of things. They are just under new ownership and they welcomed all 6 rooms I booked with open arms and worked to please us all. I admit the breakfast could use some improvement but I have stayed in much worse. We also had heat in all six rooms.
