Farmers Kitchen - Riverhead

Completely overrated! it's below average food with a good view. if that's what you are looking for...enjoy. I've been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and every time it's subpar. The portions are small for the price and dishes miss the mark. Tried the filet this time because was tired of getting a small fish dish and it was covered in a thick brown sauce. A great $50 steak shouldn't be swimming in a tasteless sauce. my wife's lamb chops were also served with an unappetizing blackberry goo. we also had the halibut on the table and it was prepared in aluminum foil and that was served on the plate. it was just off putting to be eating around a piece of foil on the plate. very amateur. i am finished visiting this establishment and will find better options in the area.

Came here on a whim last year. We were driving past and saw this place. Surprising, because it's VERY easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Especially, at night. For some reason, I'm missing pictures of our entrees. To be fair, I will rate what I have pictured. I do plan to come back soon to try other things on the menu. Here's what we ordered: the Classic Margarita: patron silver, FAIR kumquat, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, garnished with fresh lime and salt mojito: rum, fresh lime, simple syrup, mint and soda avocado flatbread: toasted with creamy spread of avocado, cilantro pesto, goat cheese crumbles, finished with tomatillo pesto with arugula salad lemon raspberry cake I remember everything being so delicious. We ate it all up with not having to wrap anything up. (That's rare for me I want to come back and sit in the back/outdoor area. The service was great, the people were nice and pretty knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back :

Nice farm to fork restaurant. The food is well prepared and delicious with generous portions. I can recommend several dishes, especially the pork chop. I also appreciated that the wines were very reasonably priced.

This was a terrible experience: we had 7 pm reservations and were seated at 8:10! When speaking with the manager he claimed this never happened before. Let me tell you how it happened-I watched friends and locals come in and ask to get seated without a reservation ...and they did! They should not take as many reservations for each slot, they are looking at it to make sure they have enough customers and making enough money. I thought the manager would comp an appetizer or a drink...nothing!! When we were seated he didn't even check in. We were put in the back and it was freezing. I'm pretty sure the people on one side of the table were frozen from the waist down. It started to hail and one of the people at the table were literally getting wet. If they are it going to have heaters that work they should hand out blankets. I have ate here before but this dinner was okay. I have had much better . The dessert was delicious. Our waitress Kaline was excellent!! Very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions.

Will come back again. Came here for lunch, surprised at some of the lunches with great prices. Burger was very nice. Cowboy taco had alot of steak nicely charred. Breaded eggplant aandwich with fresh mozzarella was very good also. Will return to try other entrees and appetizers. Nice ambiance to the place.
