Bidrage med feedbackGot some food here today to try out this place I had a coupon on DoorDash The food was pretty good everything had tons of flavour and the portion and price was great I got fried tofu with mixed vegetables and an egg roll. It wasn't what I expected as the food here is not the same as a typical Chinese restaurant. The food style is homecooked type of food, something your grand parents would make. Less oil and healthier The egg roll must have been home made because it had seasoning inside which made it taste way better than regular egg roll. It was fresh and crispy (not old) although I could taste the msg The fried tofu with mixed vegetables had healthier vegetables than usual. All the vegetables were extremely fresh, as well as the tofu. It had broccoli, bok choy, onions, white mushrooms and carrots. The tofu was also not the regular shaped ones you usually get. This one was extra soft and fell apart when you ate it which tasted much better, and is more fresh than the usual processed ones. Everything had a ton of flavour and the vegetables were cooked well, they tasted very fresh. The sauce was thinner than usual, which is nice because it's healthier and has less oil. All in all the food is very good, has tons of flavour and is fresh, but it is different than the food at a usual Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was also hidden away, I wish the restaurant moved to a better location. Possibly in a Chinese mall food court. I hope their lease will end soon and they can move to a better location
Nothing special, ordered noodles with beef, but where's the beef. Spicy beef as well no beef. Like 5 pieces lol what?? It's inexpensive so maybe that's why. Seems to be somewhat busy. Not an authentic Chinese place. More like Canadian Chinese food. Quick and cheap.
Fair price and pretty good food. They prepare your order for only 10 mins or you can order ahead. Also theycan delivery to your place, especially right now the labour cost such high. They open seven days a week under a new owner (before only Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday) the only thing is their rice can be improve.
This restaurant replaced Chop STIX Chinese Food which was a fixture in the neighbourhood for years. In any event I thought I would give it a try. I placed a very simple order that they managed to get wrong, the food was terrible. The 3 foods in the order all tasted like soap, the only item that was palatable was the pork wonton soup, however the pork was too thick and fatty. I certainly would advise to stay away from the Bayview Wok. If I could give less than one star I would.
Chopstix was very good but it closed down and Bayview Wok took its place and pretends to operate as Chopstix still. The website is still up, I ordered last night and the food is nearly inedible. Containers full of noodles and onion, no baby corn, no mushroom, no bamboo shoot.
