Cicada Cantina - Redding

Mexican cuisine with an artistic flare! Not your typical taco shop. I was greated by the owner Spencer as I entered with warm hospitality. Great start to any new visit. There is alot of indoor seating as well as outdoor lounge style seating available. I came at happy hour so I ordered my food from the tapas menu which had a wide variety of selections at moderate pricing. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. Once I made my order which was recommended to me by the owner my meal was there in a flash. Not only was it pretty to look at the food smelt delicious and was incredible! They also have a great selection for our vegan and vegetarian friends. Highly would recommend this establishment and when I'm Redding I will be bringing my business back to them. A+ and 5 at a 3 price.

Take time to get to know the new owners, Spencer Alexis, they are bringing a whole new vibe to Cicada...and they listen! Menu changes, upcoming events..it's our go-to place for girls day/night, couples time or any time. Love the staff, great food, drinks, and the churros?? Yum! Kiwi Margarita...delish! Hands down love Cicada!

Really good food. First time I came here I had the mah-mahi tacos; very good flavor. Second time I had the flautas. They came with this amazing jalapeño-mint honey to dip them in. What really amazes me is the service. I've had good (heck, even great! service both times I have come here. Definitely recommend!

We have eaten there several times since the change of ownership and have not been disappointed at all. Great menu, great staff, and the new owners are pretty awesome!
