Step Above Cafe - Qualicum Beach

Recent renovations have created an updated, modern look in this café. The décor is chic but the cuisine hasn't changed much, which is good. The fresh lunch choices are reasonably priced, the pastries are always fresh and if you like, you can purchase food from the deli downstairs and they will heat it up for you. I take my company here when they visit and they are always impressed.

Dropped by for lunch on a Saturday as I wanted a bowl of soup and was not disappointed. Had the Thai soup for lunch and it was delicious and filling. Nothing fancy here – but a solid choice for a casual and quick lunch.

It is in the quality foods grocery store, convenient for a cappuccino, latte or coffee. Friendly BC staff and I enjoyed the coffee!

I have been here many times and the food is usually OK. I went again recently and got a tall iced mocha and paid $4.00! It was very small and I took one sip and had to throw it away.. way too much chocolate syrup, and very sweet. Otherwise most of the other drinks are fine. Still a nice atmosphere.

Take a walk up the stairs of this grocery store and you will find this lovely eatery. Seating is cozy, ambiance is lovely, staff is marvelous. The food is good too. Some menu items have just changed so there are new sandwiches to try.
