Murphy's Grill - Portarlington

I called to Murphys at about 3.45pm not knowing whether they would be serving food that early but was pleased to discover that thet were. Indeed, there was a nice scattering of diners there when I arrived. I'll cut to the chase. Murphys serves honest to goodnedd bar food, and doescit exceptionally well. I ordered fish and chips and was delighted when it arrived complete with a tasty garnish and tartar sauce. Presentation was excellent and taste did not disappoint. The fish was obviiusly fresh...batter was light...andvthe chips were crispy. It would be very difficult to find fault. so, suffice to say I'll be back soon.

The steak at this restaurant is unmatched. On Wednesdays and Fridays, it's a special deal at €25, otherwise priced at €32, which is still worth it. The loaded fries and chicken burger are also recommended. The entire menu looks delicious. The staff is great and makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. The beer selection is good, but it would be nice to have a couple of craft options available.

We went to Murphy's a couple of times on our stay in Blessington. Excellent for food and drinks. Service was superb as well. So many staff and very attentive, whilst not being rushed and pushy. Good beer as well. Toilets could do with some attention

I stopped by Murphy's Bar in Blessington after visiting Glendalough. The pub is gorgeous, newly refurbished and looks stunning. The food and drinks were perfect, and the staff went above and beyond in their service.
