The Jambalaya Shoppe - Port Allen

Definitely off to a bad start at this new location. First time I tried it was okay but not great, white bean were undercooked. Decided to give them another try this Saturday since the jambalaya place in Addis was closed. Big mistake! The potato salad was crunchy and inedible. The jambalaya had burnt crunchy parts in it, like it was the bottom of the pot. Not up to normal Jambalaya Shoppe standards and they won't get a third chance.

Really enjoyed the jambalaya and it was a big serving as well. The potato salad was on the mayo side with flavor and wasn't my favorite. But the chocolate pudding was really good. And while eating we were asked how everything was and if they could get us anything. 10/10 recommend

I didn?t even try the food?. I had never been there and wasn?t familiar with the menu?walked and the girl immediately asked me what i want? I get it, fast service, I understand the concept?. I told her, I don?t know yet, I need to browse the menu (on the board on the wall behind her). Then, it was a 2 minutes of awkward, her just staring at me while I?m trying to decide what I want?. I was trying to order for several people that weren?t with me, so it wasn?t a simple pickan item and order?. I may go back someday, when there?s a different person at the counter?. It smelled yummy in there?.

Gumbo was great like usual but I got 3 cups of white beans instead of white rice! When I called the store they said I could come get it myself...uhm no thank you that's why I do DoorDash!

The jambalaya, pastalaya, and gumbo were great! It wasn't until the end when I looked for my Banana Pudding that I was upset as it was not brought to me. I thought the potato salad in its container was the pudding and was very dissappointed when I realized it was not withmy order.
