Tequila's - Pagosa Springs

Huge menu; our entire party found something they loved and everyone around us devoured their dishes as well. Amazing food but sub par service. We went for an early dinner, around 4:30 on a Thursday and there were only four tables to serve and it took a long time to get water, chips were never refilled nor were drinks, and a to go box and the check took a long time to arrive. Multiple passings and others were serviced more around us. Food came out quickly and was delicious and warm. Just be forewarned and mindful of the service if visiting this establishment.

Located right near the scenic overlook we went on Christmas because it was the only place open. The waitress had a little bit of trouble understanding us food was reasonably priced large plates. It was kind of hard to find parking because they don't have their own parking lot so we parked down the street there was no waiting when we arrived. This is a very busy business.

Revised 5/20: so my daughter and I are pretty sure we got food poisoning here. I have waited and tried to figure out ANY other possibility but it's the only place we ate out together and had similar things. And now my son has similar symptoms. Which if you want to know look up symptoms and we had them all pretty much. In my humble opinion the health department needs to come in, and maybe Chef Irvine from Restaurant Impossible. Also my daughter is on her way to ER because of a few of the symptoms. Initial review: We have been coming here on Pagosa visits for at least 10 years. Note Pagosa is small. Durango is huge compared to here. You can't expect what you would get in a big city as to variety. And they survived Covid which is saying something GOOD: Consistent- living in Albuquerque and prior in San Diego have had decades of good Mexican and New Mexican food. This satisfies if not exactly Sadie's or El Pinto in ABQ Good drinks- our kids (over 21 of course) like the drinks and margaritas. GREAT view- second only to the Overlook spa a block away NOT as GREAT: Water issue- yes they only have cheap bottled water you have to pay for Prices-higher than you expect for standard Americanized Mexican food. Service? I think service is okay. I don't like the comments about not speaking proper English as I feel it's judge mental and racist. Decor- it has that Baja or Cancun touristy type bright colors. We will go again because our son lives here and as to Pagosa, well this isn't Denver OR Albuquerque

Luis is the best server/ bartender. Amazing margaritas . Fantastic fajitas! So yummy. We will be back soon!!

Best mole sauce in Colorado. Trust me i've tried mole sauce meals in all of Colorado. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Servers were busting their a*s. A little pricey but the portions are huge and 2 meals. Highly recommend
