The Barley Mow - Oxted

After hearing about this place for years but never making the effort to visit, we finally stopped by this weekend when it was conveniently located next to our walk. I wish we had come here sooner! The food was fantastic (definitely the best roast beef I’ve ever had during lunch), and how many pubs have their own bakery? The staff was delightful, and the atmosphere and decor were excellent. It’s definitely a place we will return to. Highly recommended!

The food is well prepared, and I highly recommend the vegan burger. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The outdoor seating area is lovely, and while the garden at the back currently only offers drinks and snacks, it’s still a nice spot. The decor is beautiful as well.

This is a lovely pub with delicious food. They offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, and the cozy log fire adds to the atmosphere. It's also dog-friendly! One of the highlights was that the young child in our group received a Barley-Mow bear as a Christmas gift.

We visited the barley mow for the first time in many years today for lunch. we live in the local antidote and have heard great reviews, so we thought we would try it for the birthday of my father. we had such a nice experience! the food was delicious really good portions! , the staff is very friendly and welcoming and we had a great afternoon. there were 4 adults and 2 small children and we all loved it. they have a great children's menu with good variety that is always great when they eat with little ones! it was specially made since the waiter had noticed that it was my father's birthday and they bought my father a free drink and a huge piece of cake with a radio that made it extra special! Many thanks for a nice lunch today. I will tell everyone about our experience and we look forward to a visit soon!

We stayed at an Airbnb, walking distance from the Barley. It became our go to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! We were so well looked after by all the staff who were friendly and helpful. Their food is terrific, definitely a cut about your standard pub chow and very reasonably priced. They have an awesome garden and outside seating area with plenty of room for larger parties. Thank you to everyone there who made our trip that much more enjoyable.
