Mikato Steak And Sushi - Owensboro

I seriously can’t believe I found this little gem in Owensboro of all places. I never expected to be able to get Korean food in Western Kentucky! I came at 2pm on a Tuesday, so they were super dead. Regardless, I got good, prompt service. I ordered off the lunch menu. I got the pork bulgogi, which was phenomenal. It came with hibachi vegetables, choice of soup or salad, and steamed rice. I upgraded to fried rice for $1. The fried rice was PERFECTLY seasoned and had plenty of egg. It was probably the best fried rice I’d ever gotten. I prefer my ginger dressing to be stronger with the ginger, but that’s just my taste. I also got a side of kimchi. YUM. I’ll be back for sure!

A great spot to grab some steak and/or sushi. Everything I’ve had from here is fantastic. The staff is super friendly, and the owner is a great guy. This is a great spot for any occasion. I would recommend the yellow tail nigiri.

Decent food with a pretty cheap menu. The staff is always friendly and attentive. There is a sweet older lady there that is worth the whole visit. Many sushi rolls to choose from.

I am no fan of sushi, but I came here with an open mind and tried the Hwy 54 and LOOOOVED it!! Beginner sushi eaters should definitely try this!
