Kaffistova - Oslo

Maybe the best lasagna I've ever had. Classic establishment. Would recommend.

Delicious Norwegian food and beautiful place. As students tourists we wanted to try something more traditional, but not lose all our money and this is the place to go (also, with Oslo Pass you can get additional discount). We have meatballs and moss and would definitely order it again. Especially the moose was perfectly delicate and tasty. I loved the beans too!

The best place to eat in Oslo. Delicious Tradisional food and good quality compared to the price. The atmosphere is stylish with a large open space and we managed to find seats on Saturday for a lot of time to eat somewhere. The staff is very professional and friendly.

We were looking for a typical place to eat our last dinner in Oslo and were lucky enough to find Kaffistova! We ate the meatballs and the moose burgers, very very good! The look and feel of the place could be misleading but don’t let this stop you, the food was very good and with good prices, for a Norwegian standard.

The main issue when I 've been there was the service, very slow. I feel that it would benefit from having some more staff. The same people who serve also prepare the dishes, and most of the time the room was unattended. Bear in mind also that this is a canteen style place, so the food is prepared in advance . The staff was polite and doing its best, that 's the silver lining and why I 'm saying it would benefit from some more people on hand.
