The Okemah Barn

I stopped here for breakfast on my way to Colorado and was pleasantly surprised. While I wouldn't call it the most appealing part of the city, it felt like a place where people are mindful of their words—one could easily get into a confrontation for a careless remark. That said, the restaurant itself was clean, and the staff were polite and friendly, representing a hardworking community. The service was attentive, and the food exceeded my expectations. They offered a traditional continental breakfast with generous portions at prices that seemed frozen in time since the 1990s—truly unbelievable! I may not find myself in this area again, but if I do, I know where to grab breakfast.

"I recently visited Okemah for an appointment, and my family and I enjoyed a fantastic meal. I ordered the Indian taco, which had thick, fluffy bread, fresh beans, and perfectly grilled meat. I enjoyed it just as they served it—almost as good as my mom's recipe! We even took home some desserts since we were so full. I tried the fried cake with strawberry cream, and it was delicious even when cold. My sister made a cherry cheesecake at home, using real cream cheese, which was fantastic. The restaurant itself was spacious and bright, and the staff were friendly. It seems like they have a lot of repeat customers, which is a great sign. Overall, my family had a wonderful dining experience!"

This diner may be small, but it has a spacious feel and offers a great variety of homemade dishes. The owner is often on-site and always up for a friendly chat. I’ve visited this place four times during my business trips, and I look forward to returning the next time I’m in the area.

PLEASE ADD WEEKDAY SPECIALS on the online menu or an image of the daily special plan?! I've been regular for 14 years, but I still can't forget which days certain lunch specialties are set. Ali's Place II (2) or Ali's restaurant was formerly in Wetumka Oklahoma, but retreated 27 miles away to Okemah Oklahoma awhile, but is now directly from I-40 in Okemah Oklahoma!! One cannot miss space for a wonderful house cooked meal during the trip to I-40! You have ALWAYS the absolute BEST homemade country cooking whether there is breakfast or lunch you are looking for! If you order your always fresh hot food, CALL 20-30 minutes before it WILL packed and ready! Only differences are that the newer location in Okemah Oklahoma is a newer facility, considerably larger more seats available! SSOO HAPPY it is still open and was always a hit!

Love there all you can eat fish on Friday night, real clean place and the service is outstanding also.
