Smitten Ice Cream - Oakland

The portion sizes are quite small, almost to the point of being nonexistent. Who wants their dessert to be so minimal? However, the ice cream itself is delicious, especially if you're trying to stick to a diet.

As for the flavor? While many ice creams and frozen yogurts tend to have a predominant milky or yogurty taste with their flavors, I found Smitten's ice cream to taste noticeably fresher. It delivers bold flavors without any lingering aftertaste. If you're craving ice cream, sure, you could visit your local parlor, but why not elevate your experience with a visit to Smitten? I can’t wait to go back!

They used to have a location in Lafayette that I would go to constantly! Their ice cream is so creamy and smooth, absolutely no ice chunks. They have so many fun flavors, but I will always be a chocolate cone. Their waffle cones are also warm and fresh.

Smitten is a cute concept, using liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream. I thought it was unique and fun to watch, but wasn't the biggest fan of seeing the mixture out in the open. It was fun to try and I appreciated some of the rotating flavors, but I likely won't go back due to the quality and preference!
