Bidrage med feedbackThe Food Today is the exploration to one of the Korean restaurants, Pyeong Chang Tofu House. Visited with a friend and take a guess on what we ordered. I ordered the Original Tofu Soup with beef while my friend ordered Mushroom Tofu Soup. Both soup came out steaming hot with good taste and flavor. The soup came with a good amount of rice, and since it is in a claypot, there is also burnt rice. The soups went well together with the rice, and along with all the side dishes. There are quite a bit of other dishes on the menu, so mayhaps I'll return for another round. The Miscellaneous Pyeong Chang Tofu House is your corner store located along the main street. Street parking is available but can be scarce during peak hours. The inside of the restaurant is spacious with decent amount of seating. Wait time can be short if you opt to share a table with others. Though they do have Yelp waitlist to join ahead of time for more convenience. The service was pretty quick and efficient, got our food within a reasonable time. The staff was sincere, they prepared the burnt rice from the claypot for you so you don't have to scrape it yourself. Their menu has an extensive selection of dishes other than tofu soup, so there's plenty to try. The price is a bit expensive and have increased over time. But good food quality so I would return to try their other selections.
Best Korean restaurant I've ever been (including restaurants in Seoul). Don't miss the pancakes and tofu soups! I took out an extra dish (bibimbap) for later. Amazing food and service. ?
Good environment, like the wooden tables and benches. The kimchi pancakes you don't want to miss. It's crispy than anyone I've ever had. The mushroom soup is great if you don't want meat. The soba cold noodle is amazing! The fried chicken is also great.
Everyone can make soft tofu soup, but not everyone can just make it right. This place makes it right. I make the soup myself at home and I can make some Korean restaurants, but not these. A good Korean soft tofu soup has a complex taste. It has so many layers. The ratio of soup and tofu must be perfect. The meat can't steal the show. Here even the containers are right. You burn your fingers long after dinner. If it's easier to find parking, I would definitely come more often.
Visited bay area and decided to meet a soon tofu place. Had to go to the street park and it seemed like a busy street. Menu: Four Banchan, good Kimchi. Both spicy seafood Tofu soup and Biji soup were good. I also loved her full torn rice; they have an option to pour hot tea over it so definitely try out.
