Stay Gold Deli - Oakland

As someone that's lived in Texas for over two decades, Stay Gold Deli didn't taste exactly the same as what I'd find in Texas but they still hit the spot. I ordered the 2 way BBQ plate with brisket, ribs, mac cheese, and coleslaw, and I was amazed by the amount of food that came with it. The brisket was fatty and tender, and the ribs fell right off the bone. The sauces were great as well. I was beyond stuffed by the end of my meal.I didn't try any of the sandwiches but they look great and I'm looking forward to the next time I stop by to try them.

I'm not super familiar with how things rock in the oak but the prices seem to be pretty especially considering that everything in the big city tends to run high. Had brisket and ribs. Was ok.Then felt sick after a few hours. Whenever I burped, hints of the foods smells kept coming up in the worst way. Felt queasy like I wanted to throw up, but couldn’t. Had chills over whole body. Did not sleep that night.

I have to stop myself from ordering here every day, it's that good! I love deli sandwiches and I've tried many on DoorDash and they've never been tasty enough to tempt me to order again until I found Stay Gold Deli! I've already ordered from here twice in a month. Both times I've gotten the Italian deli sandwich, without any changes or substitutions. It's so good as is. The bread is tasty and soft and the sandwich is packed full of delicious deli meats. The sauces on the veggies give the sandwich a delicious zesty kick. I also tried a bite of the the pulled pork sandwich that I ordered for my husband and it was delicious too. It's definitely going to be one of my go to places from now on!
