Bidrage med feedbackMy brother is Salvadoran, so I grew up enjoying amazing pupusas. I have a real passion for them, but I have to say these were genuinely the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered two revueltas pupusas, and they were served to me just moments after I paid—definitely not even two minutes later. It was obvious they weren’t freshly made. They were soggy and moist, as if they’d been sitting in a steamer for too long, and the filling consisted mainly of beans with barely any cheese; no chicharrón at all. The curtido tasted fine, but the pupusas were so disappointing that I ended up throwing them away after just two bites. I really can't recommend this place to anyone; I’ve had better frozen pupusas before. On a positive note, the woman at the counter was very sweet, which I appreciated.
If they charge you extra for freshly made items, it seems like they prefer to serve you the ones they already have, cold and wrapped in aluminum, having been steamed.
The service is friendly and efficient, and the food is delicious! The pupusas are made fresh right in front of you.
Good pupusas fast service tamales are not bad friendly staff definitely recommend if you're in Oakland for a quick bite to eat outdoors.
If I order the cheese pupusas it's because I don't like loroco
