Bidrage med feedbackThey have now färger and maische with the option vegan sausage. the maic is vegan and made with mandel milk. I really enjoyed it! the part was quite large for me and I ended it comfortable sharing with my partner.
We were looking for the happy cow app while we were looking for a vegan and a carnivore to lunch in oakland. the commonwealth was both the closest and, as I am from england, the pub concept was appealing. this is the next thing I have found in a British pub sports so far, not a huge place, but there are many sitting opportunities and the atmosphere is welcome with friendly staff and customers alike. the menu is small and the vegan choice was limited to an salad, although other salads could be made on request vegan and a peacherbsalbe with Basmati rice, Pitta bread and mango salsa. I ordered the curry, minus the pitta, as I am gluten-free. the food was good, beautifully presented, a greater part than I could eat, served quickly and cheaply, oh, and they serve old speckled hen behind the bar, all in all a good choice for us. I would certainly eat there again, not regularly, as the choice is limited, but in any case if they need somewhere to both herbal eater and carnivore.
They now have bangers and mash with the option of vegan sausage. The mash is vegan and made with almond milk. I really enjoyed it! The portion was pretty big for me and I ended up splitting it comfortably with my partner.
We searched the Happy Cow app while in Oakland for somewhere suitable for a vegan and a carnivore to have lunch. The Commonwealth was both the closest and, as I"m from England, the pub concept was appealing. This is the closest i've found so far to a British pub feel, its not a huge place but there's plenty of seating and the atmosphere is welcoming with friendly staff and customers alike. The menu is small and the vegan choice was limited to a salad, although other salads could be made vegan on request and one chickpea curry with basmati rice, pitta bread and mango salsa. I ordered the curry, minus the pitta as I'm gluten free. The food was good, nicely presented, a larger portion than I could eat, served quickly and reasonably priced, oh, and they serve Old Speckled Hen behind the bar, all in all a good choice for us. I'd certainly eat there again, not regularly as the choice is limited, but definitely when you need somewhere to accommodate both plant based eaters and carnivores.
We have been here for the last few months to enjoy a beer or two while we wait for a family member to finish a weekly appointment on the hill.
