Ladhars Fish - Northumberland

We ordered large portions of cod and chips for delivery, and it took an hour to arrive, which was acceptable. The cod was decent but a bit dry, and the chips were delicious, although not very hot. We found the overall cost to be a bit high, especially with the unexpected £1 administrative charge and £2 delivery fee. While we had no issue with the delivery fee itself, we were disappointed to see the additional charge that we did not encounter during our previous visit earlier this year. Because of this extra charge, we have decided not to patronize Ladhars again.

Called in as we were in the area,I've been several times and have never been disappointed, big thick piece of cod, crispy batter all cooked fresh to order, huge portions, will always return, so will look forward to the next time, a quick run down the road to eat them overlooking the sea. Bliss!!!

Not really a traditional chippy anymore as the menu is massive with burgers, pizzas, kebabs, etc. Fish and chips were OK for the price, and the portions were large. Only waited a couple of minutes for 2 fish'n'chip take aways, so suspect fish had been sitting in the warmer for a while batter was not crispy as when freshly cooked.

Staff were pleasant enough and the food is cooked to order. The fish were quite big but at £7 each they should be. The chips were good but there was a lot of batter on the fish. It wasn't the greatest. Have had a lot better to be honest.
