Riverside Chinese Takeaway

Ordered take away, Beautiful food, best special fried rice I’ve ever tasted, arrived early ,red hot food, delivery man was really nice and chatty

We had a mixed starter and noodles. The starters were overcooked, samosas and spring rolls had no discernible filling and, unlike a previous review, the skewers with plasticky pre-formed chicken and thick brown sauce were definitely not to our taste. There was also a chemically tasting watery sauce (sweet and sour? with a strange gluey lump in it. The noodle dishes were a brown, sticky mess with large lumps of bland tasting meat. No sign of crisp stir fried vegetables Sadly, all went straight into the bin. First bad review I have ever posted but we both make and eat a lot of Chinese food and this was by far the worst meal we have ever encountered. On a positive note it was all very hot, huge portions and it was very reasonably priced so maybe you get what you pay for.

The best Chinese takeout in the area. I loved it so much that I ordered a second time. The food was delicious, especially the roast duck, pineapple, and satay chicken skewers.

This was my first visit to this Takeaway and it wont be my last. The service was quick and friendly and the meals were excellent. Sweet and sour chicken was still hot when I got home and there were very generous quantities of chicken. My wife had a Special curry and again, very generous quantities of meat. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the price was very cheap compared with other Takeaway's in the area.
