Very poor service. Waited 25 minutes at the table and no one came over to take our drink or food orders.
I live in Chicago, but I was visiting my family in Catasauqua, PA. My sister and I decided to go to dinner last Thursday night, at The Weaversville Inn, in Northampton, which we had passed several times previously, and it looks so charming that we decided to give it a try. (Years ago we did high tea in their tea room with family members and that was fun). Since it was Music Fest in Bethlehem, it wasn't very crowded. We went in, and ordered and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The dinning room decor is kind of bland, they could improve on that, but that wasn't important, given that the food and service was good. The staff was also very nice. First we ordered cocktails. My sister ordered Kir Royal and I ordered a classic margarita, both were good. We had fried calamari as an appetizer, it was very good and red pepper dipping sauce was tasty. They brought our salads that came with the meal and it was tasty with cucumbers, tomatoes, mixed greens and cranberries. I had the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. We both ordered the pot roast and it was also very good. We left feeling happy and said that we said we would come back. They say that they are going to open up an outdoor eating area in the back, which would be nice.
