Bidrage med feedbackTheir Salted Foam Cream Cake is the best dessert to hit my tongue in a very long time. It is a layered dessert with layers of cake, mochi and faintly salted cream foam. Delicious!!! Faintly sweet so you really taste and enjoy the milky creaminess without the sugar infestation you'd find with typical bakeries. Highly recommend. The chewiness from the mochi adds an enjoyably unique texture. I also tried their Taro Salted Egg version. Not bad but the aforementioned is my absolute fave right now.
We had a family gathering and a friend brought this beautiful cake for dessert. The presentation of the cake was absolutely stunning! The cake looked like a show piece in the clear carrier box. It was a strawberry cake that was perfect for Asian tastebuds. The cake was nice and moist with lots of fresh strawberries. Definitely looking forward to try their other cake offerings!
I ordered from uber eats on Monday to pick up on Wednesday. They cancelled around 45- 1 HR before pickup. Uber generic response advised that it can be due to high traffic of orders or the item we wanted was out of stock. I would understand if I ordered same day, but as I ordered a couple of days in advance, you would think that they would be able to either produce one more for the day or you know, reserve the last one for the person who ordered in advance? This left a bad taste in my mouth and it's just a warning. I would had been devastated if I had ordered one of their regular cakes as a birthday cake or as a gift for someone. I might try it again, but now I know to either buy in store or order same day only.
Not too sweet, very good consensus from my entire asian family. But on a serious note this was great. Very light. Cool concept 4 flavours with one cake so you can taste multiple diff flavours. Taro flavour had small chunks of taro in it and mochi too!! Strawberry tasted like your classic asian cream fruit bday cakes that you get with those melon and cantaloupe scoops on top. Pretty standard. Brown sugar date came with a big date on top and had nuts inside and really tasted strongly of the Chinese date. Like a mouthful of chinese date. I wasn 't too fond of that one. Reminded me of my grandma making that chinese herbal soup with the dates. And finally the Oreo tasted pretty standard too like the strawberry flavour. Overall great cake and nice to taste all the flavours at once.
I have to be honest, when viewing the menu of this place it seems like a lot of money for a cake. We decided to give it a shot and I can say that although I think it is still a bit pricey, I do think they have some unique items, including this one pictured here the black sugar red date cake. It feels like a bakery that is an elevated and innovative version of a classic chinese bakery. While staying true to the classic chiffon cake layers with alternating light cream layers (with the works, like date jellies, biscoff cookies and assorted nuts), the flavour of the date cake was unique and quite tasty! Not too sweet and the red date flavour did really come through. The cream was nice and light and not too heavy even though there was a lot of it! I'm intrigued enough to want to go back to try some of their other items because I was impressed with this one!
