Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Scarborough

I’ve been coming to this location many times but this will be my last. The waitress is at fault here and management should be aware of her game (unless they’re in on it too).Like another reviewer mentioned last week, the 25% discount for paying cash is a scam! They automatically force the tip on you. A tip is given VOLUNTARILY!They even round it off to the nearest dollar in their favour. They do not give you back the change owed. It seems they’re so desperate for that extra change!This approach completely wrecked my dining experience here, hence the 1 star for both service and atmosphere!Never again.

I found the food here to be very bland. The spicy broth wasn 't very spicy at all. The condiments at the sauce bar even tasted bland compared to other hot pot places that I 've been to. I 'm actually surprised at the amount of 5 star reviews this place has. I feel like there 's much better hot pot out there.

Self serve Hotpot buffet. Great selection of food, but mediocre quality. Broths are good and have interesting flavors. Service can be slow at time. They recently introduced free soft drinks, so that's a plus.

The food is great however it is important for people who are new to this particular branch of the restaurant to be aware of the following things.1. The waiters will try to mislead you when you come in during lunch time to use the happy hour discount, and try to upsell you to the more expensive dinner option.2. I can now also confirm that the waiters here will aggressively push for you to tip on the amount that THEY want and they will try to do so in a way at the start by entering the amount on your behalf. Expect them to demand that you tip at the amount before the happy hour discount and make a scene.If you're Asian, this sort of behaviour is fine but if you're bringing people who are not accustomed to such behaviour from restaurants, this place is not the place to be.

This is an another AYCE hotpot in Toronto, but you can go to pick up what you want by yourself except beef lamp. This is a very smart way for customers and owner. This is the way to prevent wasting food, and actually the owner could even earn more. On the other hand, service staffs are very friendly and nice. This is the place that I would like to pay more tip because I feel comfortable in this place
