Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Housed in what looks like a small castle on a hill overlooking Filipstad and the colorful ferries on E18, the building was once the home of the state railway's general director. Now converted into a multi-room restaurant, they offer personalized service and delicious French-inspired cuisine. The wine list is also impressive, though a bit lacking in Italian selections. While prices may be on the higher side, the overall experience is well worth it. This restaurant is sure to thrive despite the costs.
Very cool. eating and service was okay, but far below expectations.
Fantastic restaurant, delicious food and pleasant service. immediately at the entrance, perfect background music and that, combined with cozy atmosphere, gave even better eating experience then expected. in any case they visit a place!
The dining experience was overrated. The restaurant had beautiful decorations.
This restaurant is fantastic with excellent service and delicious food. The waiters are skilled, friendly, and pleasant. The interior is elegant and tasteful, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere especially with the background music. We tried the small Heftye menu, which included a 4-course meal for only NOK 549. The first appetizer was halibut, followed by plaice. The main course of lamb was delicious and tender. For dessert, we enjoyed pickled plums, biscuits, fermented plum ice cream, and meringue. The food was amazingly good and tasty. The bread served with the meal was absolutely fantastic, possibly the best we have ever tasted. We highly recommend Villa Heftye and will definitely return again in the future.
