Quality is very consistent. French onion soup is great, we especially like it on a cold day after walking.

After being seated, the water and silverware came quickly. After that nothing sat for over 20 minutes without a waiter or waitress stopping by to take a drink or a food order. Ended up walking out.

I would not want to give a bad review, but I would like to get my point across. Just practically walked out tonight from this place out of irritation! We had waited for over an hour and only kids' meals and waters were served. And orders were only soups and salads- how hard are these to prepare? In the meantime, another table of 4 who got to this place much later than us have all been served and finishing their dinners. Others were waiting very long as well for either their orders or check. Lady server not courteous. Are these people trained? Guy wait staff was trying to be helpful but is just not trained as a server. He says they're short staffed but this place was not even packed tonight. My message to the owners: to avoid customer frustration when short-staffed, it would probably be better to close the place. Or better yet, had I known, I would not have had my family come here to dine. Poor service. No doubt.

In light of the current job market, I always try to approach my dining experiences with an open mind. The highlight of my visit was actually the busboy! After a 15-minute wait, someone finally came to hand me a menu, but there was no water, no utensils, and no bread—just the menu. To his credit, he wasn't the waiter, just the busboy, and he awkwardly tried to make small talk while I thought, "This isn't really his responsibility." The service was slow, and the meal was just okay. Despite this, I left a 40% tip on my $30 bill because I felt sorry for them having chosen to close early that night. It was definitely a strange dining experience.

As newcomers to the area, we've visited the Norfolk Pub a few times and have had a fantastic experience each time. The staff is attentive, and we were able to enjoy dining outdoors, which we love. The food has been outstanding! They take their time with service, are friendly, and truly seem to care about providing a great dining experience, making customers feel at ease. Tonight, we had the pleasure of being served by Lindsey and her two sons, Matthew and Christian, who were all wonderful! We will definitely be returning!
