Avondale Wine - Noorder-Paarl

I had an amazing experience at the wine tasting here. All the wines are organic, served in Spiegelau glasses, and the explanations provided about the wines were wonderful. Every wine was exceptional, showcasing outstanding winemaking qualities. Many of the wines are well-aged and drinking beautifully right now. While they are on the pricier side, I believe these are some of the best wines in South Africa, particularly for those with a discerning palate.

This place is such a hidden gem! As you arrive, the building and garden create an ambiance reminiscent of a French wine house, complete with stunning views of the wine mountains and the surrounding countryside. Upon entering, I was both surprised and enchanted, as it felt like stepping into a villa. The beautiful wooden floors and an impressive old piano in the entrance added to the charm. As I explored in search of the distillery, the aroma of wine production filled the air. The restaurant itself looked fantastic, and there was also a small deli offering freshly baked bread and other deli products. The staff was attentive and eager to assist with anything we needed. They were friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the various wines and products the farm offers. I absolutely love this place!

We attended the Avondale charitable event for Open Garden Day. The ride was a lot of fun, and then we explored the beautiful private gardens. The views of Couple Rock and the surrounding Franschhoek mountains were absolutely breathtaking.

If she passed in couple, then I would definitely recommend stopping at the avondale weingut. wine tasting is a great experience for South African wine

When food and a wine reaches the same equilibrium, Avondale Wine have opted for organic farming techniques and steam-sterilisation. Most of the seasonal vegetables on the menu comes from their garden. Highlight, was the pumpkin fritters and 12 hour slow cooked roasted. An amazing food and wine experience
