Le Bon Vivant - Franschhoek

Amazingly beautiful dishes, elite style restaurant. Dishes not too big but very tasty, wine glasses portioned well. Got some nice “on the house” treats. Only slight problem is that food takes a LOT of time to come out.

This is fine dining at its best, master chef South Africa. Also reasonably priced.

Good atmosphere, I ordered set course with reasonable price. Every dishes serve with decoration. Tasty and impressive. The restaurant was located in center with car park available. Recommended!!!!

The fine dining experience was to die for. We had a 4 course menu for our anniversary. The service is impeccable. However, we ended our dinner with poor candle lighting after load shedding hit. I only wish they could devise a better option for lighting in case power goes out. Otherwise, the food and service was just on point!

We messed up a booking and scrambled to find an alternative. We found Le Bon Vivant on Dine Plan and promptly booked. No regrets! Our waitress was funny, friendly and extremely accommodating. What a setting where you can see the whole kitchen behind glass preparing meals. Owner and chef, Pierre Hendriks, personally involved with you meal preparation. All the food was great! As a surprise, we were not keen on sweets but the ladies were. They brought us one plate with all the different puddings and 4 teaspoons! What a great idea!! We all got a little sample of amazing pudding. Thank you guys! Will easily come back to this unassuming top restaurant.
