Il Bolognese - NICE CEDEX

Came here on our first day in Nice after walking around all afternoon. There are so many restaurants and each one has someone standing outside who will tell you about their menu and try to get you to come in. The woman at this place pointed out their daily special (swordfish) and showed us the menu, which looked moderately priced and tasty. We sat at a table out in the sun which was nice because the weather was perfect. The service was excellent, with multiple individuals helping take care of everyone. They started by giving us bread and water right away. I ended up ordering the gnocchi after I saw a few reviews about it on here, and wow, let me be the next one to say how good it was! It is a generous portion size and the sauce is thick and so good. I also liked dipping the bread in the sauce. I've tried to eat mostly French food while in France, but this Italian place got me and I'm so glad it did! Overall excellent experience!

We arrived in Nice a few hours prior and spent the whole afternoon walking up and around the port and surrounding areas. We were starving and there were many restaurants too choose from. We walked past earlier in the afternoon as we were exploring. Came across the daily special of grilled swordfish with a side of salad and potatoes for 12,50€. Since there were a lot of restaurants in the surrounding area, choosing one for dinner was quite an adventure (especially since everyone is out front trying to lure you to eat at their restaurant). But you won't make a mistake choosing this one! As you have probably guessed, I ordered the daily special. My bf ordered the 4 cheeses gnocchi. Both dishes were made to perfection!

Sad sad sad. We accidentally walked into this place and meant to go elsewhere. Should have gotten up and kept walking, but we decided to give it a try. My fiance and I ordered the arrabiatta and tagliatelle bolognese. The arrabiatta was not spicy at all and the noodles were only half cooked...not even a hey you need to cook it for a little longer , but more like a why is half the penne hard and the other half of the penne soggy? . Skip skip skip this. The tagiatelle was marginally better because the meat sauce had more flavor. The noodles were still pretty tough. It was also the strangest tagliatelle noodles I 've had, but surprisingly that was the saving element of the pasta. The noodles were super thick and doughy, very similar to Taiwanese shaved noodles, which I loveeeeeee.

Italian food cooked by God himself. Cannot even put into words how delicious our food was at this spot. We were in Nice 4 days and we ate here 3 of our dinners- It was THAT good. I tried the carbonara, tortellini and lasagna bolognese and although all 3 were bangin, I would recommend the lasagna bolognese (feel free to drool over my pic of it).

WORST TOURISM TRAP, PLEASE READ THIS REAVIEW. This is the worst dinner experience my husband and I ever had. They brought us food that wasn't what we order we asked them for the correct meal and they refused. The Manager said we don't like it just pay and leave, we didn't want to pay for something we did not order. the waiter tried to get in a fight with my husband getting very close, touching him and pushing him, the only thing stopped the waiter was that I started filming and taking pictures of everything was happening. The guy in the picture is the waiter. We tried to find the police but unfortunately there were none in sight. We have no idea how this place is still in business. I guess it's just a great location with a lot of foot traffic. Buyer beware! Worst service ever!!
