Bidrage med feedbackWe had an excellent meal at this restaurant and highly recommend it if you are in the area. Don't forget to check out the bakery located across the atrium as well! Both were exceptional!
The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was both delicious and a great value for your money.
When I had the chance to dine at Savor Restaurant at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI), I knew I was in for more than just a meal—I was about to witness the future of culinary excellence. Savor is not your typical fine dining restaurant; it’s a living classroom where the chefs and servers are students refining their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. As part of SUNY Niagara, Savor offers a unique combination of academic rigor and culinary artistry, making it a standout destination. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that Savor’s mission goes beyond just serving food; it’s about training the next generation of culinary leaders. The students here are fully involved in all aspects of operating a restaurant, from the kitchen to the front of house and even wine pairings, as part of their hands-on education. Their dedication and passion for their craft are truly inspiring. It’s a comprehensive learning experience that allows them to put classroom knowledge into practice in a real-world setting, making every visit a support to their education. The menu at Savor showcases the creativity and skill being nurtured at NFCI. With a focus on seasonal ingredients and locally sourced produce, the dishes highlight the freshness of the region and the innovative techniques being taught. During my visit, I was impressed by the diverse menu, ranging from contemporary American dishes to international flavors. Each dish is a culinary delight that reflects the hard work and dedication of the students. Special mention must be made of the wine pairings, thoughtfully chosen to complement the menu and showcase the students’ increasing expertise in wine education. Savor is dedicated to providing a well-rounded culinary education that goes beyond just cooking. The atmosphere at Savor is elegant yet welcoming, creating the perfect backdrop for a high-end meal. The decor is tastefully done, establishing a cozy and sophisticated ambiance. However, what truly sets Savor apart is the service. Knowing that the individuals preparing and serving your meal are students adds a unique element to the experience. You're not just a customer; you’re part of their learning journey. They’re not just doing a job; they’re actively learning and perfecting their craft, making the dining experience more personal and meaningful. I was particularly impressed by Savor’s strong ties to the community. The restaurant is open to the public, allowing everyone to enjoy a top-notch meal while directly supporting the education of local students. It’s a win-win situation—diners get excellent cuisine, and students gain valuable real-world experience. Savor’s commitment to the local community is admirable. Additionally, Savor hosts special events and themed dinners, providing a fantastic opportunity to see the students’ full range of talent and creativity. I also discovered that all tips go towards a scholarship fund for students, which I found to be a unique aspect of the business model. Conveniently located in downtown Niagara Falls at NFCI, Savor is easily accessible and perfectly placed for those looking to enjoy a fine dining experience after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant offers ample parking and is within walking distance of many local attractions, making it a great option for both locals and tourists. Dining at Savor is more than just eating a delicious meal; it’s contributing to the education and development of future culinary professionals. The quality of the food, the attentive service, and the overall dining experience are all enhanced by the knowledge that you are witnessing the culmination of students’ hard work and dedication. Savor offers an educational dining experience that is enriching for both the diner and the students, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine food and supports culinary education.
