Venice Pizza Pasta - Newark

Been going here for some time now and it's such a home town feeling. Great atmosphere and everyone knows each other. Give it a try the food or great and love Thursday karaoke night.

The food was edible however it wasn't anything to run home to mama about. They have a bar attached on the side of restaurant and as I went to add money to listen to music one of the staff rushed over and was trying to tell me I couldn't use it as shealready put money on it for that nights bar guest so I couldn't use it. Mind you it's 4pm430pmish we had to convince her I wouldjust use the amount I put in and leave the rest for her entertainment later. Than as we sat to eat we were watched intensely bethe kitchen staff for some odd reason. It was just not a very comforting experience for me at all. Most small town places arewelcoming and warm but this was by far not so.

This Italian restaurant in Newark is absolutely fantastic! It doesn’t open as frequently as I would prefer, but the drinks are ice cold, the bread is warm, tasty, and amazing, and the prices are unbeatable. Just $7 for a lunch special? You can feed four employees for only $40—what a deal! I ordered a meatball calzone, which turned out to be more of a beef calzone (that's fine, it was a special), but it was still packed with flavor and delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're hungry, nearby, and it's open. The spaghetti and pizza my colleagues ordered also looked wonderful!

The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent! The white pizza with Alfredo sauce was delicious, and the crust was incredible. The Ziti alla Vodka was also very tasty. I would rate this place even higher, but it was a bit warm inside, which made it less comfortable. Additionally, the restaurant itself looks a bit worn, giving it an impression of being somewhat unclean (though it wasn't necessarily dirty). I believe some minor updates could really enhance the experience. This isn't a significant issue, just a small observation. The most important part is that the food was fresh and delicious!

Guys, you really need to do some serious cleaning. While I was waiting for my food, I was walking around looking at the ads and couldn't help but notice how dirty the lobby walls and floors were. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. It even made me question what the kitchen must be like. I was honestly worried about eating my pizza afterward.
