Gogo Gumbo - Boyd

The food here is above average. My only concern was the gumbo—it had great flavor, but there wasn't much substance to it. I found a lot of shrimp tails, but no actual shrimp. I had the gumbo a few years ago, and it was excellent, so I was quite surprised by what I had during my recent visit. On a positive note, the service was very good. I would recommend giving the gumbo another shot; it might have just been an off night.

This restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away behind an unassuming sign on a spacious stretch of Hwy 114. You would never guess that it offers truly gourmet, 5-star cuisine. The menu features outstanding seafood, Cajun, and American dishes! The chef is a brilliant talent, bringing experience from major city restaurants to wow everyone who discovers this place. We enjoyed the salmon, crab-stuffed shrimp, and Cajun Bento boxes. We have already visited once, went back tonight, and we are definitely coming again!

I highly recommend this restaurant, and it's not just for the gumbo! It's open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 4 PM to 9 PM. I believe it operates on a BYOB basis. Be sure to try the refreshing lemonade in the waiting area too. And don't miss out on the desserts—they're a must-have, even if you decide to take them to go!

Fist and foremost the hostess was rude! He indicated he knew what he was doing when I asked when we would be seated after waiting over 30 minutes and seeing 2 parties get seated before ours, we had six the other parties had 4 each, he basicallyrefused to serve our party to maximize 2 extra seats! The food is average but due to the location it stands out( in FT Worth itwould probably not survive). The prices are high for a location with a vibe of a diner. On a positive note, it?s BYOB.

Near perfection. We had a large party of 12 and were seated and served with excellence. Granted, it was a Thursday night but the level of service merits commendation on any day. Food was great and desserts made in-house were a huge hit. Had the Cole Slawbeen seasoned better, 5 stars would have been a certainty.
