Korean Barbecue (seoul Garden) - Newark

This place is awesome, my girlfriend and I have been coming here at least once a month for a year now. The spicy Kalbi Gui makes my mouth water just thinking about it, and they have great fried rice. Staff is always super kind and the service is quick 10/10Food: 5/5

Unfortunately my family and I were unable to try this place due to their terrible service.We called ahead to place a reservation for a party of 6 and on the phone they said we were good for the time we have reserved. When we showed up to the door not a single employee greeted us or said anything. To be fair it was a full house with 3 tables empty so we were being understanding. The restaurant is a tiny box without a proper waiting area so my family were just awkwardly squished by the front door. We waited for probably around 15 mins before a waitress said something to us after a family has just gotten up to leave and we were offered their table. However, it was a regular table without bbq and my family wanted to have bbq so we were fine with waiting longer. We waited for 15mins more and by then a large group of customers were finishing their meals. When they finished, a male employee came to clean their table and as he was cleaning it he looked at us and said we will be seated there once he finishes. In the mean time, two more group of customers has arrived to the restaurant and by now theres like 15 people squish by the front door. As soon as the male employee cleared off the table the waitress asked the group that just came in how many people they have in their group and proceeded to sit them down at the table where the guy just finished cleaning. It was so ridiculous that we walked out right after that. Not to mention others families that came in after us were seated before us by them pushing tables together and they definitely had another bbq table empty while we were just waiting. The lack of customer service and communication between employees was astonishing. I really dislike leaving a bad review unless it was really bad or disappointing and I gotta say this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Food is amazing and staff is wonderful the side dishes are delicious and my mom always asks for 2nds even 3rds of the cucumber kimchi. If you're looking for amazing filling food this is the spot!Food: 5/5

The food was great, but I did not like how my waitress was, she put the tray in the middle of our table to put the dishes and put the food on one side of our table because of the tray in the middle of the table, which make us really uncomfortable.The inside of the restaurant was so hot, and the fact that the waitress stood right next to OUR table fanning herself while furiously saying something in Korean (I guess it was Korean since it was a Korean restaurant. I am not sure what she was talking about, but I bet it was something related to heat since she was furiously fanning herself. )I understand it was hot Yesterday, but I was a paying customer to eat in that kind of heat and seeing my waitress standing right next to MY table to fanning her sweat the who know what into my food was unprofessional.and the same waitress scream goodbye when we were done like she really want us to be gone. I don 't feel welcomed by herIf I go back there next time, I really don 't want to get the service from that waitress.

This is now one of my top restaurants to visit in Delaware. The Kalbi Gui, bulgogi and gun mandoo are Phenomenal. The service was wonderful and they even helped us with the barbecue since we let them know it was our first time. Such a great restaurant and nice staff.
