Klondike Kate's - Newark

I went for a special buffet organized by an organization. The food was good and the staff was friendly. It was a nice place.

Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. Great service, nice atmosphere.

The waiter was great, but the food was just ok. We had the sweet bourbon salmon and chicken quesadillas. The salmon was dryand the chicken was bland.

We sat outside on a beautiful day. The menu is huge and the service is great!

This is frustrating cause we love Kate’s. Today we went in and asked for a table outside there were a couple taken and a couple dirty so they sat us at the smallest one by the door. The table happened to be very wobbly so my husband walked in and asked if we could move to other empty table and hostess (young girl in blue pants and brunette) said “no problem gives us like mins to clean it off.” So at this point we have been sitting at our wobbly table for about 10 mins and no one has come to greet us but we are sitting by the window so I can see outdoor wait staff looking at us and talking to said hostess. An other 5 mins go by (still not greeted) the other hostess (blonde young girl in pink shirt grey shorts) sits another table where the previous one said she would move us. At this point I’m beyond frustrated haven’t been greeted and our table hasn’t been moved so we go to get up and apparently this was their plan cause they had other people sitting there before we could walk down the stairs! Really disappointed in this place not sure if I’ll come back which is a shame cause we love it there.
