Bidrage med feedbackAmazing Fantuan, homemade soy, Lurofan, radish cakes, scallion egg pancakes and beef noodle soup. Our favorite and a must go every time we're in NYC.
If the large lu rou fan is large , not sure how tiny the small one is since my large order arrived with half of the container filled. they also forgot to give me the cucumbers i ordered.
Generally, the food here is decent; but the one thing that keeps bringing me back (despite the steep price, as compared to what one might pay in Taiwan) is their fan tuan. If they were cheaper, I'd probably be here several times more often. The rice is perfect, and the yo tiao is so perfectly crispy.
The noodles were the highlight of this little bowl, very chewy and absorbs flavor well. The meat was tender good. The biggest disappointment was the soulless soup, it was missing a organic sweet after taste and mainly just had a dead soy sauce flavor. I barely tasted spices too. At this price point, you serve a tiny bowl of noodle with not so great soup huge disappointment.
Menu is pretty tiny but food options are solid. Definitely one of the more authentic Taiwanese spots in the city I find myself craving the beef noodle soup. Obviously prices are a lot higher than if you were getting the same dishes in Chinatown or Taiwan, but nothing crazy for the city. Always happy to have an Apple Sidra here.
