Riverside Café - Nelson

Very cosy and interesting cafe/restaurant. everything is from timber. there is a french chef who made us a delicious lunch.

I loved the food and the setting. The service was a bit average, but only because the staff member was young so it’s not so much her fault, just inexperience. I could also see the chef swearing at her and he looked really mad. That was a bit cringe to be honest. I just notice a lot, I don’t think all the customers would notice that. I took a star off because of these two things but was so impressed with the quality of the meal and I could tell the chef cared a lot about his product. That’s also why he was mad, because the staff member was not delivering good service to his standard. I will be back. The vege burgers were insane!!

These young are so super organized as team, very impressed. can turn around a long wait in a few minutes. can not talk about eating as it had not, but service and coffee is excellent.

Amazing eating, good ambiente, welcome service- the seafood cahowder was one of the best I've ever eaten, full of seafood. beautiful gardens to foot in and a lot of different sitting opportunities! what a place

A beautiful surprise was waiting for us, once we found the entrance to the restaurant. The French chef obviously loves his profession. We had salmon, chicken and duck dishes, and all three were excellent. Lovely ambiance, and very friendly service. Highly recommend.
