Lunch in a truly stunning location with great service from knowledgeable staff and tip-top food. The Honeycomb Cheesecake nearly knocked Neil off the wagon! Excellent all round and also recommend a tasting of Mahana's wines to loosen you up beforehand, if the cellar door is open.

Lovely afternoon at Forster’s Mahana. Had an amazing desert, honeycomb and white chocolate cheesecake with banana ice cream. I could not recommend it more. Best desert ever. With some lovely wine and amazing service. Will be back again!

Love this place! The lunch was awesome! We ordered the Forsters Long board (6 diff tapas from curried lentils, pork jelly, beef stew etc), Freedom Farms trio of pork (I find the pork a little dry) and the desserts short board (3 different desserts that were so yummy).

Absolutely blown away by the menu and delicious meals we chose Highly recommend. 2 hours was perfect. Thanks for the great service and quality of the meals.They also honored a gift voucher that had just expired which was greatly appreciated

The Michelin people give places stars when they 're worth a detour . This place is worth a detour. The food would stand up at any 4+ restaurant in NZ, reflects local flavours, and is elegantly presented. Wines are good, dishes are yummy, and on a calm day, the outdoor dining area is hard to beat. Probably the best food I 've eaten in the Nelson region, and I eat all over the place. Go go go, being friends and a sober driver and settle in for an afternoon.
