The Corner - Napoleonville

Stop for lunch and it was good. Food was good and they had a decent selection of drinks and beer. Would like to come back when I was in town.

We had a good experience with drinks and appetizers on a week night. We sat outside on the couches and enjoyed the weather. Our server was attentive. The Margarita was great, and so were the burned bbq tips (a little spicy! .

We had lunch here and drink an afternoon at the bar. The bartender was very helpful, so we can try some of the many designs of beers and help us meet our selection. On the day of lunch our server was friendly and attentive. The appetizers they introduced – the Spicy Guacamole and the Chile Pimento Fritters – were unique, and our entrees were great, especially the Pork Carnitas. Beautiful selection of margaritas, we tried several. Good value too.

We ate here almost a year, had great service, food was wonderful, and we couldn't wait to go back. As we live in Round Rock, we don't often get to downtown. We had the opportunity to return this past weekend for our friend's birthday and I noticed that it was Cathy's birthday. This time I was a little disappointed and not in a hurry to go back. Our first waitress was Elora and she was wonderful, but we heard she didn't work there anymore. We had Brendan and he wasn't very attentive. It took forever to get drinks that might not have been Brendan's fault, but I feel he could communicate with us a little better about the situation. Cathy (BDay Girl) ordered a glass of wine, but what she ordered was not in stock. She wasn't informed until all our other drinks came out. She ordered an alternative glass and we were all ready to order our drinks and ready to order a second and had eaten our appetizer before their glass arrived. The short ribs were the main reason I wanted to go back. They were delicious for the first time, but this time they were dry and disappointing. Cathy never got a wish of Happy Birthday from the staff. Not even a little comment from someone. Total disappointing. Even though I'm not against a return to Corner, there are many other restaurants in this area, and I think we'll try to get the ones out instead of returning to Corner.

We ate here with our family after a brief stay at JW during Texas ice storm. The menu offers such variety. The staff is friendly and accommodating to. Delicious eggs Benedict. My personal favorite. Great choice!
