Hymel's Seafood - Convent

I thoroughly enjoyed the food! It was definitely worth the drive!

Unfortunately, everything we tried to order was unavailable! The raw oysters were tiny, about the size of a nickel or maybe a dime. They were out of steaks, eggplant pasta, carrot cake, hush puppies, and mushrooms. I was really disappointed. I won’t be driving an hour again to eat here.

This restaurant is permanently closed. The window says "Gone Fishing." I really wish Yelp would remove places like this from the site.

This restaurant has always been a fantastic place to dine. I grew up visiting it with my parents, and it was a special family treat. Both the restaurant and its wonderful staff will be deeply missed. I had hoped that as BR expanded south, it would find continued success, but no chain restaurant could ever compare to Hymel’s.

The food was fantastic, but what I will miss the most is the River Rats Band.
