Nuru coffee bar - Nakusp

My family and I visited the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, so we decided to order a variety of sandwiches. When our food was brought to our table, we realized we needed a knife to cut the sandwiches. We approached the front counter to ask for one, and the staff member kindly informed us that they didn't have any available. We politely requested to borrow one, but to our surprise, another employee from the back criticized us for not asking for a knife when ordering. We apologized, finished our meal, and left. It's a shame because we would have been happy to spend more money if not for the rude comment.

Terrible customer service. The owner Tamara spoke very rudely and was super condescending. Never experienced anything quite like it. We shared this with a few other people in town and were told this was very typical behavior for her. Also, one of the food dishes was burned and not good. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place!

We stopped in for a light lunch on our way through. It was just okay I thought the portions rather small on their ‘plates’, but everything was tasty. Service was ok initially a bit unwelcoming, but eventually warmed up.

You will get better coffee at the New Market across the road. The service and attitude is horrendous. Don't know how people run a business like this.

Stayed across the street at the Adventure Domes and we ran over for some drinks (they have wine and beer, coffees and teas hot and cold, and others) and snacks (fruit muffin is to die for) and ice cream. Staff were nice, unlike what other reviewers experienced. Great easy location for us! Cash only though and only one ATM in town (at the credit union).
