Bidrage med feedbackThe manager is very rude and as a whole unpleasant. we used to have 2 to 3 times a week as we have a holiday home in nagambie. eating is moderate and expensive for what it is. there is a new microbrewery that opens in the near future directly at the lake, so our friends and I look forward to this opening. go to the royal mail (top pub) or to thai, both fantastic!
The manager is rude and his saponification for monate. cant ever an air con and eating is mediocre but expensive. where?
Nagambie has a lot to do for it, because it is only a short hour and a half north of melbourne and it is on a beautiful lake. and it is the right place for a status of the powerful black caviar. most takeaways in the main street have underwhelmed us when something has been eaten before. Today we had a little more time so that we had a lunch on the deck of the ghetto bistro with a view of the lake. the service was very friendly and relaxed and both meal times, pigeons and gnocchi were delicious and well prepared and presented. in any case, it is worth stopping and enjoying the situation that deserves to enjoy. the second and third visits were not quite so impressive so that I took a half star away
Fish and chips very well cooked, lambskin cooked perfectly. would have been better if they were kept on the garlic in the maische .. highly recommended, great eating, service usual against lunch service but with a smile. excellent view ..
Worst 'restaurant ', worst service! We had a booking for 14 people for an 80th birthday. About 80 minutes post ordering we were advised out meals had been 'lost '. Apparently it 's really quite hard to make a tab for 'table 20 '... We began to get worried as during ordering the four waitstaff behind the counter began to bicker. As compensation we were given the worlds greasiest cheese and garlic bread, read soggy, cold, congealed cheese lumped on top some hotdog rolls, and were told it would be another 35 minutes before we had our meals. 35 minutes came and went (if this had not been an occasion to celebrate 80 wonderful years of life, we would have got up and left) until after another 15 minutes where we went to remind the staff that it had been over the allocated 35 minutes and we were still starving, did the food finally arrive. One word. Disappointing. My hand cut wedges were three slices of soggy yet undercooked dirt potato and my steamed greens were some greying beans. The flathead came straight out of and I and J box and was also soggy with the consistency of baby food, the chicken gnocchi had a chicken wing perched on top and was flavourless and bland. We were also advised that the rare steak we ordered had 'been burnt to a crisp ' and so they were starting again. We managed to keep down our meals and ordered some coffee to have with our cake. A flat white came disguised as a babychino although adult in size. They did manage, however, to not mess the black tea up, so kudos to the tea chef. Overall this was a disappointing experience and an awful way to spend an 80th birthday. We will never return and would not recommend this venue to anyone (the view of the lake being the highlight of the day). Very, very unimpressed.
